Bejoy Joseph

Bejoy Joseph joined MI News 26 in December 2018 as Sports Director.


He was born in Queens, New York and has lived on Long Island for the majority of his life. 

Bejoy graduated from Oswego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting/Mass Communications. He continued his education at the New York Institute of Technology, earning a Master’s Degree in Communication Arts.

He interned at the Sports Departments of WABC-TV, News 12 Long Island and WLNY-TV 10/55, all based in the New York City area. During those times, he covered the regular seasons and playoffs for all the professional teams in New York, along with Big East Colleges and Long Island high schools. He covered the US Open and PGA Golf Championships as well.


Bejoy went to become a Sports Producer for WLNY-TV 10/55, and he also produced sports for HD News, a national television station, as a freelancer. In addition, he reported for L.I. News Tonight covering hard/soft news stories in the Long Island/NYC area.


From there, he moved to the Beckley/Oak Hill, West Virginia area to work for WOAY-TV, an ABC affiliate as a Morning News Anchor/Assignment Editor/News Reporter. After that, he joined WDVM-TV, a Nexstar station based in the Washington DC area serving in multiple roles including Sports Anchor, Sports Reporter and News Reporter.


During his spare time, he enjoys watching sports, movies, and exploring local events.
