Cristina Mendonsa is an EMMY/Murrow award-winning multimedia journalist, producer, spokesperson, speaker, and educator with more than two decades of experience reporting and anchoring in top 20 markets.
After 27 years with CBS O&Os, Belo and Gannett/Tegna, Cristina pivoted to a position with the iHeartMedia group where she anchors for KFBK, the group’s number one news radio station. She also founded Mendonsa Media in 2017, a marketing and content agency.
Cristina holds a Master’s Degree in Communications and Leadership from Gonzaga University of Washington as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Journalism from CSU Sacramento. As part of her graduate program, Cristina conducted a national study on broadcast journalist work habits. Her research explored the changing workflow of journalists in the top 20 media markets over the past decade.
Other academic pursuits include coursework at the Poynter Institute of Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida and she frequently lectures on journalism workflows and the career life cycle of broadcast talent.
