Heidi Goitia

Bio

Heidi Goitia is an Emmy-award winning journalist, producer, and speaker in Phoenix who has spent ten years at KTVK/KPHO anchoring the morning news for CBS5 and Good Morning Arizona.  She grew up watching KTVK news anchor Heidi Fogelsong and at a young age, a seed was planted. Her insatiable curiosity to know more about the world and the people of it, led her to follow her dreams and pursue a Journalism degree from Northern Arizona University.

Heidi’s pursuit of a broadcast journalism career thrust her into the public eye. First came a role as the evening anchor at the Gannett station KNAZ. Her thirst for storytelling and desire to reach a larger audience led her to KTVK/KPHO where she was anchoring the morning news for Phoenix’s AZFamily. Her drive for excellence and passion to connect with her audience culminated in a 2020 Emmy for her role as anchor of the GMAZ Phoenix Open (“The People’s Open”) morning show.

Today Heidi is focused on leveraging her on-camera and storytelling experiences into the next chapter of her career in the Phoenix Market.  She has also joined the Mentor/Advisor Team at the talent management company TalentBlvd where she will mentor and coach up-and-coming broadcast television journalists.

When not in front of the camera, Heidi is focused on family, namely her three high school and college age children, getting them prepared for their professional careers. She is also an outspoken advocate of the Arizona Alzheimer’s Association and its efforts to raise awareness and funds to fight a disease that her mother is currently battling.  An Arizona native, Heidi feels fortunate to have enjoyed a successful career and thrived in her home state.
