"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."

"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." You're in your early 30's, you are struggling to take that next step, moving up market or getting that first managerial role. What's going on?

First, let's put 32 yrs old into perspective.  Feels like you've been working FOR. EVER. right? The reality is that 32 is literally less than 25% through your career.  It's actually a terrific point to stop, reflect, LEARN, and maybe begin to reinvent.

I believe there are three components to your reinvention:

1. LEARN more about what makes you tick. It's critical we don't make the same mistakes over and over again throughout our career.

2. Formalize a career plan.  At least think about a point in the future. Is your goal to be VP/GM of Sales or maybe Main Anchor top 50. That goal becomes your Vision Output. Set it and work backwards closing the gaps.

3. Enjoy the Ride. Gandhi's quote above couldn't be more on point.
