"We all want to be famous people, and the moment we want to be something we are no longer free." Is your drive for bigger markets and more responsibility or face time holding you hostage from exploring what you could be?

We can never let our ambition make us so blind that we miss important forks in the road. We should be constantly surveying the landscape to make sure our skills are transferable to other industries and roles.

Answer this question: What are the top 2 trends in your industry, what is the impact to your role and how are you adapting?

Example, MMJ's are here to stay. You a photog? Guess what's coming? ..... another example, the mobility supply chain is exploding. You are an auto tech, do you think driverless vehicles will be coming to you? Look at the chaos that is Bird scooters.

We must think about career development as both deep and wide. It's a balance. At some point, we all 'time out' and need a safety net in the form of a lucrative side hustle or the freedom to explore a rewarding alternate role, a second career chapter.
